Tension in Indo-Nepal border

Patna, Jan 31 (UNI) Tension mounted high in Yogbani area on Indo-Nepal border in Arariya district in Bihar following injuries caused to an Indian villager today as Nepali police opened fire on their side of the border.

Police said one Dalmal Tiwari was seriously injured of a stray bullet fired by Nepali police to enforce curfew orders in their side of the border.

Enraged over alleged failure of Indian Bihar police to provide security to citizens, hundreds of villagers came to the streets to voice their protest.

District Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation and take steps to normalise the situation, sources added.
