Soma Enterprise bags Rs 813.51cr DMRC project

New Delhi, Jan 31 (UNI) Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) today awarded a contract worth Rs 813.51 crore to Soma Enterprise Ltd for underground work on Central Secretariat - Qutab Minar Corridor of Phase II of Delhi mass rapid transit system (MRTS).

Soma Enterprise Ltd, country's leading infrastructure developers in a joint venture (JV) with Taiwan-based, Continental Engineering Corporation (CEC) will be responsible for design and construction of tunnels and stations between Udyog Bhavan and Green Park stations (both excluding) for the underground work.

''We have tied up with Continental Engineering Corporation, one of the leading construction companies in Taiwan for this project.

With CEC's expertise and international experience in design and construction of large-scale, complex infrastructure will produce a state-of-the-art structure,'' said company's Director Ankineedu Maganti.

The construction period for the project is 40 months.

Soma Enterprise Ltd deals with projects ranging from construction of dams, hihways, road tunnels, hydraulic tunnels, bridges, sewage treatment plants and real-estate projects, etc.
