Shivraj Singh is new chief secretary of Chhattisgarh
Raipur, Jan 31 (UNI) Mr Shivraj Singh, an Indian Administrative Service Officer of 1973 batch, will be the new chief secretary of Chhattisgarh.
An official spokesman said Chief Minister Raman Singh today cleared appointment of Mr Singh, who will succeed Mr R P Baghai, who is attaining superannuation on January 31.
Mr Singh, who is at present the Additional Chief Secretary (Commerce, Industries and mining), had earlier served as Collector of Tikamgarh and Gwalior in undivided Madhya Pradesh.
Besides, he had also served as Registrar (cooperative societies), Transport Commissioner, Commissioner (Chambal range) in Madhya Pradesh. Later, he was on deputation to the Centre.
After formation of Chhattisgarh, Mr Singh returned to the state in 2003.
