Prohibitory orders lifted in MP city
Indore, Jan 31 (UNI) Prohibitory orders were lifted this afternoon in Raoji Bazaar, Chhatripura and Pandrinath police station areas here after normalcy was restored in Madhya Pradesh's commercial capital where members of two communities clashed in Karbala area during a Mohurram procession last night, the police said.
The National Security Act would be invoked against the offenders after they are arrested. Reports said that some persons were taken into custody for questioning.
Section 144 was imposed after arson and damage to property.
Earlier, the police unleashed a cane-charge and lobbed teargas shells to bring the situation under control.
