Jalandhar, Jan 31 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today claimed that the ruling Congress was not facing any anti-incumbency factor in the state and is set to win 75 of the total 117 seats in the February 13 assembly polls.

Addressing a press conference here Capt Singh clarified that there was no anti-incumbency factor against his government but in fact this factor was there against some of the ruling Congress sitting MLAs and such MLAs had been denied party tickets in the ensuing elections.

He said that Congress was set to perform impressively at the hustings to retain the power in the state.

He also ridiculed the opposition Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD)'s claim of clinching 75 seats in the new house and said that Akalis seemed to be in confusion as it is not they but the ruling Congress which would win 75 seats.

The Chief Minister claimed that Congress party would wipe out SAD from the Malwa region and would retain its supremacy in Doaba and Majha regions as well.

He claimed that even SAD supremo former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal was himself in trouble and pitted in a tough contest in the Lambi constituency.
