Moser Baer to launch content distribution in Kerala
Kochi, Jan 31 (UNI) Moser Baer, India's largest and world's second largest optical storage manufacturer, will launch its new initiative in content distribution, which will mark the extension of the company's foray into entertainment industry through the Indian home video market in Kerala.
Announcing this at a press meet here today, CEO Harish Dayani said the company would release video content on DVD and VCD formats using its proprietory and patented technology which substantially increases quality and reduces cost.
'' The initiative represents an excellent opportunity to leverage our optical media strenghts in patented and proprietory technology, capacity and costs enabling us to offer high quality titles at an attractive price of Rs 28 to Rs 34 for VCD and DVD,'' he said.
He said the company would launch the new Malayalam film 'Tiger' and 100 other titles from its library at competitive prices.
Mr Dayani said the new initiative would also help to curb piracy in the entertainment industry to a considerable level.
The distribution of the titles was intended to reach almost every movie enthusiast in the state, for which the company has lined up 26 distributors in the state, he added.
