Metro Cash and Carry to open in Mumbai by year-end

Bangalore, Jan 31 (UNI) METRO Cash and Carry, a leading international wholesaler, today announced the signing up of an agreement with Neptune's Magnet Mall to open its fifth Indian distribution centre in Mumbai by the year-end.

With an international presence in 28 countries, METRO Cash and Carry was a unique wholesale concept for business customers, a company release here said.

In India, METRO Cash and Carry currently operated three distribution centres in Bangalore and Hyderabad and would open its fourth store in Kolkata in June. The distribution centre in Mumbai with 100,000 sqft selling space would stock and sell over 8,000 food and 10,000 non-food products, geared to meet the specific needs of hotels, restaurants, small-sized retailers like Kiranas and other business customers, the release said.
