MDLR Airlines leases two Avro regional Jets

New Delhi, Jan 31: BAE Systems Regional Aircraft has leased two Avro RJ70s to MDLR Airlines.

The new airline has been formed by Mr Gopal Goyal, Chairman and Managing Director of the MDLR group, in association with Dr Harsh Vadhan who was Chief Operating Officer of Vayudoot for several years.

The first RJ70 was delivered recently and the second will follow a month later. Both are configured in a two-class layout with eight business and 68 economy seats.

Scheduled operations are due to start tomorrow and will link Delhi with provincial capitals in the north and north east of India.

Destinations to be served include Ranchi, Jaipur, Nagpur, Kulu, Jammu, Simla, Chandigarh and Varanasi.

The airline has also contracted with Regional Aircraft for its Jet spares customised support programme.
