Lady kidnapper escapes from police custody

Ahmedabad, Jan 31 (UNI) A woman, arrested on charges of kidnapping a child, escaped from Vatva police statin here today.

The suspect Zarinaben, a resident of Vatwa, escaped by ''forcefully'' pushing aside a female constable while returning from the toilet at about 0600 hrs.

She was arrested yesterday for kidnapping the child of an adivasi labourer.

A case has been registered under section 124 of the IPC against her.
