Kalpataru crosses Rs 10 billion mark in first nine months

Mumbai, Jan 31 (UNI) Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd, a global EPC player in the Power T&D sectors, has crossed the landmark turnover of over Rs 10 billion (USD 225 Mn) for the 9 months ended December 31 with a net profit of over Rs 95 crore.

The company has achieved total revenue of Rs 3.94 billion during the third quarter, an increase of 86 per cent vis--vis corresponding period revenue of Rs 2.13 billion, said a company release here today. The profit before tax has jumped by 127 per cent to Rs 52.6 crore as against Rs 23.2 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The profit after tax has also jumped by 139 per cent to Rs 38.8 crore as against Rs 16.2 crore in the corresponding period of previous year.

The company has achieved the highest ever PBT of Rs 1.30 billion and PAT of Rs 95 crore for the first 9 months of the current year which shows an increase of 156 per cent and 170 per cent rise respectively as compared with the corresponding period of last year.

EPS for the 9 months was Rs 39.60 vis-a-vis Rs16.22 for previous 9 months. Due to conversion of warrants into equity shares, the shareholding in JMC Projects (India) Ltd is expected to cross 50 per cent next month.
