International Children's Film Fest opens in Mysore
Mysore, Jan 31 (UNI) Film producers should give due prominence to children's films with values and ideals along with commercial films, Kannada actor Mandya Ramesh opined today.
Inaugurating the three-day international Children's Film Festival here, he stressed the need to create awareness among children about the art, folklore and culture of the land through children's films.
The film festival was jointly organised by the Indian Institute of Children and city-based Natana and Janamana organisations. Films in various languages like English, Kannada, Chinese and Hindi would be screened at the festival.
Over 1,200 children, parents and teachers watched the inaugural film -- 'Summer with Ghost', a Hindi movie.
