Importance of Advaitha philosophy stressed
Visakhapatnam, Jan 31 (UNI) All India Radio (AIR) Director P Vedavathi today said the 'Advaitha' philosophy of Adi Sankara propounded the presence of God in every one, its universal application and practical approach for world peace and the importance of Sri Sringeri Sarada Peetham.
Speaking after inaugurating a seminar on Adisdankara's philosophy organised by the Sringeri Peetham at the Andhra University here, she said every man had two births; one through his mother and the second when he realised the presence of God in himself.
A good guru would guide his follower on the right path to realise the 'parabrahma swaroopam' (God's form) in oneself, she added.
Seminar Organising Secretary D Dattatreyulu underlined the importance of reviving Adi Sankara's teaching and applying them to overcome the problems of the present day.
The Guru made a signifcant contribution to national integration.
In the ancient days, there was no integration between the innumerable kingdoms in India except when 'Aswamedha Yaga' was performed.
Adi Sankara unfied them into a single unit laying the foundation for national integration.
