HC rejects bail for accused in murder case

Kochi, Jan 31 (UNI) Kerala High Court today rejected bail plea of Bineesh, a seventh accused in the Kanichukulangara murder case.

Dismissing the petition, Justice V Ramkumar observed that if Bineesh was released on bail he was likely to influence and intimidate the prosecution witnesses.

The Judge also observed that the accused had eluded arrest for about two months since the incident on July 20, 2005. This could not be brushed aside lightly, he said Additional Director-General of Prosecution V K Mohanan opposed Bineesh's bail petition.
