Four dead seven injured in road mishap

Phagwara, Jan 31 (UNI) Four employees of a private company were killed on the spot while seven others sustained serious injuries when a truck carrying them dashed against a tree near Dhanda village in Jalandhar district last night, police today said.

According to reports received here, a truck, carrying eleven employees of a Mohali-based private company, was on its way to Rurrkakalan when the driver lost control near a turn and dashed the vehicle against a roadside tree.

Four employees died on the spot and were identified as Satbir Singh Rana, Hardip Kumar, Devi Lal and Sanjeev Kumar. The seven injured were admitted to a private hospital.

Police has registered a case and handed over the bodies to their family members after post mortem.
