Former Nagaland Chief Minister Hokishe Sema dies
Kohima, Jan 31 (UNI) Former Nagaland Chief Minister Hokishe Sema died here today. He was 86.
He is survived by five sons and a daughter.
Sema was also Chairman of the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) Government and a former MP.
Sema was the third Chief Minister of Nagaland and also the first Naga to become the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
Besides being a Cabinet Minister in the first Nagaland Legislative Assembly, he had been the Chief Minister of Nagaland for three times.
A fatherly figure of the Naga people and of Naga politics, Sema had a vision for the welfare and uplift of the Nagas.
He served the state in different capacities and was also instrumental in attaining statehood.
The state funeral would take place at Dimapur tomorrow.
