Fair sex to get fair representation at Surajkund Mela

Surajkund, Faridabad, Jan 31 (UNI) Women power will be at its pinnacle at the 21st Surajkund Crafts Mela beginning here tomorrow as it is an all women show this year round.

If the Mela is being inaugurated by UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi on the one hand, it will be presided over by Union Minister of Tourism Ambika Soni on the other.

And women power does not peter out here itself, Haryana Tourism Minister Kiran Choudhry will be the coordinator of the Mela by virtue of her portfolio.

Even her ministry has a woman secretary, Ms Keshni Anand Arora, and Haryana Tourism Board is being helmed by Ms Satwanti Ahlawat, a woman.

Andhra Pradesh is the theme state this year and even its tourism ministry is being headed by a woman named Ms Geeta Reddy.

And coincidentally, even the person who is secretary in the ministry is a woman, Ms Chitra Ramachandran.
