Diamond Jubilee Celebrations ends

Hyderabad, Jan 31 (UNI) The week-long Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of Telugu cinema came to a close with the screening of 'Alluri sitaramaraju'.

The actor couple Krishna and Vijayanirmala as also several artistes and technicians were felicitated on the occasion by the Films Development Corporation.

Amidst applause, the noted actor recalled the trials and tribulations he and his team went through in the making of the film revolving round the freedom struggle.

Krishna recalled the various milestones in the 75 years of the Telugu film industry.

A special mention was made about Vijayanirmala, who entered the Guinness Book of World Records as a woman director directing 43 films.
