Curfew lifted from MP town

Jabalpur, Jan 31 (UNI) With the situation returning to normal, curfew was completely lifted from six police areas of the city today.

Collector Sanjay Dube said curfew and prohibitory orders were lifted from the city. Both Hindu Sammelan and Tazia immersion concluded peacefully yesterday.

On January 27, indefinite curfew was clamped in six police station areas -- Kotwali, Lordganj, Hanumantal, Gohalpur, Belbagh and Omti -- in the city following confrontation at Kamaniyan Gate following tearing of posters relating to a religious programme.
