CRPF jawan shoots self

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Jan 31 (UNI) A 40-year-old constable of the Central Reserve Police Force committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon at Dantewada district's Gangalur this morning.

''Constable Lachh Mohar Singh, who was stationed at a camp in the naxalism-affected area, took the extreme step using his self-loading rifle. Family problems constituted the motive,'' said Bijapur's Superintendent of Police Ratanlal Dangi.

The deceased hailed from Punjab's Gurdaspur district.
