Jalandhar, Jan 31(UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today warned that all those rebel Congress activists, who failed to retire from the electoral fray and pledge support to Congress candidates by this evening would be expelled from the party for at least six years.

Talking to reporters here today Capt Singh said the rebels had to either withdraw or support official nominees or face expulsion.

He said that the party high command wanted to expel such contestants instantly but on request from him and state leadership the high comand had given 48 hours time to the rebels to mend their way and this deadline would end this evening.

Capt Singh also denied the allegations of money transactions in allotment of party tickets, levelled by some rebels, and said that such allegations were unfortunate.

Punjab Congress chief Shamsher Singh Dullo had yesterday ordered the expulsion of eight party rebels.
