Car catches fire in Shakti Nagar, no casualities

New Delhi, Jan 31 (UNI) In yet another incident of a vehicle going up in flames in the Capital, a car in the Shakti Nagar area of North Delhi caught fire this afternoon.

At about 1500 hours today, when Dalip Bajaj started his Maruti 800 car, which stood in a parking lot in the area, the car was immediately in flames.

Though Dalip himself escaped any injuries, the car was completely destroyed in the blaze, police said.

This is the latest in the series of incidents in the Capital of a vehicle catching fire either on being started or due to a malfunction in the automatic locking system.
