BIAL seeks Entry Tax exemption from K'taka govt.
Bangalore, Jan 31: Bangalore International Airport Limited (BAIL) Chief Executive Officer Albert Brunner today called on Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to seek a special entry tax exemption for the greenfield project coming up near Devanahalli, 35 kilometres from here.
Speaking to newsmen after the meeting Mr Yediyurappa, he said the government was likely to take a decision in this regard early.
However, BIAL had already earmarked Rs 77 crores contingency fund for the purpose, he added saying that the special entry tax would amount to about Rs 40 crores.
He said the project was progressing well and would be completed in December. By April next year international flights would land at the new international airport, he added.
