New Delhi, Jan 31 (UNI) Tom Keneally, whose novel 'Schindler's Ark' won him a Booker Prize, and John Zubrzycki, who won rave reviews for ''The Last Nizam'', will feature in a ten-day display of books and presentations by Australian authors at Kolkata's National Library, beginning from February 2.

The event has been organised by the Australian High Commission to provide to the Kolkatans a flavour of the range and depth of Australian literature.

''The authors, including the writer of Schindler's Ark, Tom Keneally (later filmed as Schindler's List, who were originally scheduled to participate in the Kolkata Book Fair, offer a good opportunity for the book-loving people of this city to get a flavour of Australiajn writing and literature,'' said Mr McCarthy, Australian High Commissioner to India.

Exuding hope that the presence of major Australian authors would resonate well with the people of Kolkata, he said it would also be a great opportunity for the authors to experience the literary traditions of India, and Bengal in particular.

''It will strengthen the shared English language and literature connections that exist between India and Australia...We hope that our presentation at the National Library will be welcomed and the audience will enjoy the range and depth of Australian literature on offer.'' The programme will feature components of the rich literary Australian traditions, which would have featured in the Kolkata Book Fair.
