Ashok Leyland net profit surges 93 pc in Q3
Chennai, Jan 31: Automobile major Ashok Leyland has reported an increased net profit of 93 per cent at Rs 1,052.57 million.
The company had registered a 48 per cent growth in net sale revenue during the quarter ended December 31, 2006, raking up Rs 17,775.91 million, a company release here said.
Gross operating margin, at Rs 1,840.54 million, has improved 59 per cent while gross profit, at Rs 1,878.40 million, was up 70 per cent.
Depreciation was higher at Rs 332.28 million and profit before extra ordinary items and tax at Rs 1,546.12 million.
During April 2006 to December 2006, the Company's net sale revenue grew 39 per cent to Rs 48,771.84 million.
