Another injured CRPF jawan dies in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 31: A jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), who was injured in a mine blast in south Kashmir recently, died in the hospital today, a police spokesman said.

Constable P Devinder, who was critically wounded in a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast at Panzgam, Awantipora on January 23 in south Kashmir, died in the Sher-e- Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences at Soura this morning, he said.

With this, the toll in the incident has risen to four CRPF personnel dead and four others injured.

The Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) has claimed responsibility for the blast.

A local police station has registered a case against CRPF for allegedly setting ablaze three houses after the blast.

CRPF has already announced to compensate the owners of the gutted houses.
