Pondicherry Agriculturists Association stage demonstrations today

Puducherry, Jan 31: The Pondicherry Agriculturists Association owing allegiance to the Communist Party of India (CPI) today staged demonstrations in Puducherry and Karaikal to press their demands.

The agitators, among other things, demanded setting up of a welfare association for agricultural labourers and introducing a pension scheme as announced by the territorial administration earlier.
