Vivekanand new director of Hitachi for Asia

Bangalore, Jan 30: Hitachi Data Systems a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. today announced the appointment of Vivekanand Venugopal as director of Solutions and Products Director for Asia Pacific.

Mr Vivekanand would play a key role in providing pre-sales teams across the region with best practices to help companies meet business needs by leveraging storage solutions from Hitachi Data Systems and its partners the company said in a release here.

These storage solutions would help customers match business application requirements to Hitachi storage system attributes precisely to address performance, availability, and scalability.

This would enable customers to boost business performance at lower cost of ownership. The solutions would deliver on Hitachi's strategic initiatives including Tiered Storage, Storage Management, and Business Continuity, Content and File Services and Data Protection solutions the release said.
