Vijaya Milk hikes price

Vijayawada, Jan 30 (UNI) The Krishna District Milk Producers' mutually aided co-operative union limited providing quality milk to consumers by paying excess price to milk producers in the district today announced a price hike of Rs two of all types of Vijaya milk brands from February one.

According to Managing Director T Babu Rao, a litre of tonned milk priced at Rs 16 would now cost Rs 18, standardised milk Rs 20, mixed Rs 22 and gold milk Rs 24.

The hike was inevitable due to increase in milk procurement price and operational cost, he added.
