Hyderabad, Jan 30 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), would organise an All India religious conference at Tirumala on February 3 to chalk out programmes to curb religious conversions and protect and propogate Sanathana Hindu Dharma.

Talking to newspersons here today, TTD Chairman B Karunakar Reddy said, Mutt heads from different parts of the country, including Sri Tridandi Srimanarayana Ramunja Jeeyar of Vedaviswa Vidyalayam, Sri Jeyendra Saraswati of Kanchipuram, Sri 1008th Atbhreswarnji Maharaj of Vadodara, Gujarat, Sri Raghavendra Thirtha Swamiji of Varnasi, Sri Suyatindra Thitha Swaiji of Mantralayam , Sri Vidyadhisha Thirtha Swamiji of Udipi and Jai Pataka Swamiji of Mayapur, West Bengal, would attend the conference.

The TTD would strive to implement the various recommendations made at the ''Sanatana Dharma Pracharaka Sadasu'' to propagate the vedic culture and take effective steps to stop religious conversions and highlight the virtues of Hinduism.

Lamenting that some sections of the Hindus, including dalits felt alienated in the past, Mr Reddy said the TTD would make sincere efforts to bring them back to the religious mainstream and facilitate their socio-economic well being. The TTD would perform over 50,000 marriages free of cost, he added.

Twentyfour-hour Ahanda Bhajana Yagna would be performed at Tirumala in the mandals being created all over the state, he said, adding that about 1500 mandals had been created in Visakhapatnam district alone under pilot project.
