Sena-BJP to get absolute majority in BMC: Bhatkhalkar

Mumbai, Jan 30 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP general secretary Atul Bhatkhalkar today claimed that the ruling Shiv sena-BJP alliance will get an absolute majority in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections to be held on February 1.

Mr Bhatkhalkar said the party had organised nearly 900 meetings at various places in the city, a party release said.

Senior leaders of the party, including Venkaiah Naidu, former minister Ram Naik, film star-turned-politicians Shatrughna Sinha, Dara Singh, Mukesh Khanna, Hema Malini and others participated in the campaigning apart from the daughter of the late Pramod Mahajan, Ms Poonam Mahajan-Rao.
