Self-financing engg colleges not to conduct entrance tests

Kochi, Jan 30 (UNI) Kerala Self-Financing Engineering College Management Association today decided not to conduct entrance tests for admission to their colleges.

In a meeting here, the Association decided to admit students on the basis of the government entrance test, +2 and matriculation marks.

Association President G P C Nair said based on the three parameters an index would be prepared and students admitted after an interview.

Mr Nair said fees at the self-financing colleges would be fixed at less than the government's cost for educating each engineering student.

He said 46 management representatives of colleges participated in the meeting.
