Sanjay Kumar named CCO of IndiGo

New Delhi, Jan 30 (UNI) No-frills airline IndiGo today announced the appointment of Mr Sanjay Kumar as chief commercial officer with immediate effect.

He has over 16 years of airline management experience across domestic airlines in India. In his new role at IndiGo, Mr Kumar will embrace all aspects of network planning, pricing, revenue management, aircraft scheduling, distribution and pricing.

''He brings to us a great depth of experience and knowledge in marketing, product and service development that will play a crucial part in the future growth and development of IndiGo, said airline's president and CEO Bruce Ashby.

IndiGo will take delivery of an additional eight A320 aircraft this year, taking the fleet size to 15 by the end of 2007. It currently serves Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Goa, Guwahati, Imphal, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Vadodara. UNI
