Royal Orchid Hotels Q3 revenue up by 40 pc

Bangalore, Jan 30: The Royal Orchid Hotels Limited today announceda 40 per cent revenue increase during the third quarter of the currentfiscal at Rs 31 crore as against Rs 22 crore reported for thecorresponding period last year.

The gross operating profits (GOP) rose to Rs 14.98 crore for thequarter and Rs 39.31 crore for the nine months ending December 2006,the company said in a release here.

Profit after tax (PAT) rose from Rs 6.24 crore in the third quarter last year to Rs 9.02 crore for the same period this year.

PAT rose from Rs 14.82 crore to Rs 24.79 crore, an increase of 67per cent for the nine months till December 2006, the release said.

Company Chairman and Managing Director Chender Baljee said ''theresults are in line with our expectations and we expect the growth tocontinue in the current quarter.''
