Rabindra Seth dead at 81
New Delhi, Jan 30 (UNI) Rabindra Seth, a well-known travel and tourism writer and cosultant, passed away following heart failure here today.
He was 81.
He is survived by a son and a daughter.
The cremation will take place at Lodhi Road crematorium at 1130 hrs tomorrow.
During his illustrious career, he worked for more than two decades with All India Radio. In between in 1962-63, he served the Defence Ministry as PRO with the Indian peace keeping mission in Congo. He was awarded the UN Medal for service 'In The Cause Of Peace'.
In 1972, he joined the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). He was a consultant to chains like the Taj Group and ITC-Welcomgroup and associated as an editor with leading travel trade publications.
