President to open first Teleradiology network
Hyderabad, Jan 30 (UNI) President A P J Abdul kalm will commission India's first Teleradiology Network here on February.
The network would connect the multispeciality Care Hospital, MAA Scan and Research Centre, Guntur and the Kakarla Subba Rao Radiological and Imaging Educational Sciences Trust and attract radiologists from the all over the country and abroad to provide consultation in the spirit of societal mission and donate their output to the profession of Radiology.
The Care Foundation would act as nodal agency for system integration, network management and software development and act as a consultation centre feeding to KREST, Prof Kakara Subba Rao told reporters here today.
US Electronics would provide digital X-ray equipment, while Electronic Corporation of India Limited would develop indigenously digital X ray equipment.
As many as ten diagnostic centres using imported digital X ray systems and prototype indigenous digital X ray systems were targeted by this year-end and 1000 diagnostic centres using indigenously developed X-ray system by 2009 year end.
