Presenting chargesheet against minister not appropriate: Tiwari

Satna, MP, Jan 30 (UNI) Senior Congress leaders and former Madhya Pradesh Speaker Shriniwas Tiwari has described presenting of chargesheet against former Minister of State for Water Resources Jugal Kishore Bagri in a scam regarding appointment of 'shikshakarmis' as inappropriate.

Talking to reporters here yesterday, Mr Tiwari said the matter had come up before him during his tenure but he had not permitted the Lokayukta to submit a chargesheet and it was inappropriate to present a chargesheet without challenging his decision in a court.

Alleging that law and order situation had deteriorated under the BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh Government, he said common man was confronting several problems.

He wondered over the appropriateness of the constitution of Kisan Ayog and taking out Kisan Rath Yatra.

He said power crisis was at its peak, while the entire Rewa division was facing drought-like situation but no relief work has started.

Mr Tiwari alleged that foodgrains from ration shops was being sold in markets instead of being distributed to poor.

On whether he would be candidate during the next state assembly elections, he said he would fight in the elections.
