PM meets Ranil, Tutu, Yunus, others

New Delhi, Jan 30 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had a hectic day today, holding a series of meetings with visiting dignitaries, including Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe, leader of the opposition in Sri Lanka, and Nobel peace laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

Among the other leaders who called on Dr Singh were Mauritius Prime Minister Naveen Chandra Ramgloolam, Indonesian Vice President M Jusuf Kalla, Grameen Bank pioneer and Nobel prize winning Mohammad Yunus from Bangladesh, Italy's Deputy Prime Minister Francesco Rutelli and Bhutanese Prime Minister Lyonpo Khandu Wangchuk.

All the leaders were here to attend the two-day international satyagraha conference which concluded here today.

Dr Singh delivered the valedictory address at the conference.

Official sources said the Prime Minister discussed matters of mutual interest at his meetings with the visiting leaders.
