Pacific Internet launches new service 'PacNet Vocal'

Bangalore, Jan 30 (UNI) The Pacific Internet Limited, the largest telco-independent IP Communications Service Provider by geographic reach in the Asia Pacific Region, today launched 'PacNet Vocal' to provide a comprehensive suite of data, voice and video services to both corporate, business and consumer customers.

Addressing a press conference here today Mr Lee Tian Yew, Vice President, Voice Business said that the PacNet Vocal product brings unprecedented level of value to Indian businesses with feature-rich, quality voice IP telephone services was designed mainly to benefit the Small and Medium Enterprises.

He said that the 'PacNet Vocal', a critical element of Pacific Internet's strategy to be the leading provider of converges internet communication services to Small and Medium Business throughout Asia Pacific, adding voice capabilities to its range of connectivity, mobility and security solutions already in the market. The new solution allows companies to deploy reliable voice services in a cost-effective and rapidly scalable manner, which helps address some of the challenges that SMB's face.

Outlining the other features of the new solution Mr Lee said that it offers a complete suite of advanced call features at a competitive price with a greater range of features and functionality tailored to a business environment. Comes with dedicated levels of customer service support efficiently including on-site customer support and 24 x 7 customer support center also save on bills with Vocal World Number, a virtual phone giving its customer a local presence across the world.

Mr Lee said that the International calls made within the Vocal SIP Network incur no international Direct Dialing or local call charges. "As the only multinational provider in Asia Pacific, Pacific Internet's network delivers the greatest savings for business and residential customers in the region", he added.

Replying to a question, Mr Lee said that with the increasing number of Broadband users in the region and vibrancy at the Small and Medium Business sector the vocal services market is growing.

Last year about 5 to 6 Billion USD volume of business was recorded and it was expected to reach further high. Initially the service is making available in Tier-I cities and has plans to extend to Tier-II cities also in the near future, he added.
