Addressing a press conference here today, Oracle Asia Pacific BI General Manager Ricky Kapur said Oracle was the fastest growing stand-alone BI platform vendor in Asia Pacific excluding Japan.

Mr Kapur said leading organisations in the region were leveraging the Oracle Business Intelligence platform to exploit their information assets more efficiently for sustainable competitive advantage.
Oracle India Technology Sales Vice President S P S Grover said banking had been a major growth driver for BI applications due to Basel II compliance and increasing competition, which was forcing banks to focus on customer analytics, services and fraud management.
As the global leader in business analytics software and data warehousing tools, Oracle was bringing considerable expertise coupled with a comprehensive, hot-pluggable portfolio of BI technology and applications to help organisations across the region become insight-driven enterprises, he added.
