Nagpur, Jan 30 (UNI) A woman labourer sustained minor injuries when a detonator, in a pile of waste that she set a fire, went off at Warora railway station in Chandrapur district of Vidarbha region of Maharashtra today.

The police later found 19 more similar detonators at the station.

Chandrapur district Superintendent of Police (SP) Ravindra Kadamtold UNI that the victim Ms Shobha Sudhakar was among the labourers carrying out routine cleaning work on the railway tracks at Warora station this morning. The trash was collected in a heap and set on fire, triggering the blast, he said.

The detonator that went off was of the kind used in the digging of wells, he said, adding that police found 19 more detonators of the same kind when they inspected the railway tracks at the station.

The police suspect that the detonators were unaccounted for and were, therefore, dumped on the tracks by the persons carrying them out of fear of getting caught. ''We are investigating where the detonators came from,'' the SP added.

The woman is being brought to the central railway hospital at Nagpur for treatment.
