Nigerian remanded to 5 days police custody

Panaji, Jan 30: A Nigerian national was remanded to five days police custody by a local court for possession of narcotics.

Police said the Nigerian, Okafor James Michel (26) was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) after they caught him possessing 125 grams of cocaine and 15 grams of MDMA, collectively valued at about Rs seven lakhs in the international market, at Calangute near Prabhu Wado in north Goa.

ANC sleuths had laid a trap for him, following a tip-off from reliable sources, police added.
