Need for money brings me back to films: Vinod Khanna
Chandigarh, Jan 30 (UNI) Attempting a second comeback to Bollywood through crime thriller 'Risk,' star-turned-politician Vinod Khanna today said the need for money was the main reason for his venturing into cinema again.
''I have been living on my savings and reserves for the past nine years and I need to replenish them now,'' the BJP MP said while talking to reporters here.
He said he had to maintain three households in Mumbai, Delhi and Punjab and take care of his family and staff which required a fair amount of money.
Khanna, however, asserted that he would never quit politics as it had provided him a great platform to serve the people. ''I want to pay back to the people the love and respect they have given to me.'' Stating that he would work in politics and films simultaneously, he said: ''I would divide my time between work and responsibility.'' He appreciated the fact that new film writers were creating meaty roles for senior actors.
