Mumbai, Jan 30 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu today criticised Congress's attempts of organising centenary celebrations of 'Satyagraha' and said they were misusing and misprojecting the Satyagraha by taking credit for the same.

Mr Naidu said people from all walks of life had participated in the Satyagraha and it was not one party.

The Congress was inviting communists for the same, who had opposed Satyagraha.

He insisted the Congress was following political untouchability by not inviting the BJP for the centenary celebrations, he said.

Even last year, the Congress tried to take credit for organising the centenary celebrations of the national song 'Vande Mataram', he said.

He, however, refused to make any comments on the remarks made by Shiv Sena Supremo Balasaheb Thackeray about President A P J Abdul Kalam.

Mr Thackeray, in his election rally speech at Thane yesterday, had said President Kalam was unable to see anything due to his long hair. He demanded why the President was delaying the hanging of Afzal Guru, accused in the attack on the Parliament. ''I will give him a pair of scissors with which he can cut his hair,'' Mr Thackeray had said.
