Mobile phones inside polling stations banned in Punjab
Fatehgarh Sahib, Jan 30 (UNI) Candidates and their polling agents and voters will not be allowed to carry mobile phones in polling stations or booths on February 13, the day Punjab goes to the polls.
This was disclosed by district Deputy Commissioner-cum-Returning Officer Jaspreet Talwar while addressing a meeting of candidates of Amloh (reserve) and Sirhind constituencies and their representatives here today.
The DC said that the use of mobile phones within the 100 meter periphery of polling stations will be banned on the polling day. She directed all the candidates to follow the election code of conduct and maintain their poll expenditure in separate registers.
