Luxury taxi service with GPS facility launched

Bangalore, Jan 30 (UNI) Roots Logistics, a city-based transport service provider with a fleet strength of over 500 luxury cabs, today launched Green Transit luxury taxi service with GPS facility.

Speaking to newspersons here, company CEO G Murali Krishnan said the GPS facility would enable 24x7 real-time tracking of vehicles with emergency alarm alert and direct access to the control room to ensure full safety of the customers. Green Transit had strategic alliances with Pulsar Inc of the US for state-of-the-art electronic metres, Tata Motors for vehicles, Arvind Telecom for GPS and Airtel for communication connectivity.

''Green Transit is further affirmation of Roots' credo for safe and comfortable travel on time,'' he said, adding that Roots Logistics proposed to expand further in the coming days to foray into the booming touring industry.
