Kanoria Chemicals to scale production to 1.3 lakh tonnes

New Delhi, Jan 30 (UNI) Chemical intermediate manufacturer Kanoria Chemicals and Industries Ltd would scale up its caustic soda production capacity to 1,30,000 tonnes per annum by 2008, after the company consolidated its operations.

Meanwhile, the company posted 84 per cent hike in its net profit at Rs 7.42 crore in the third quarter ended December 2006, against Rs 4.04 crore during the same quarter last year.

Also, the company's operating profit was up 76 per cent at Rs 22.87 crore as against Rs 12.98 crore last year.
