Jockey Suraj Narredu fined in Poonawalla Derby race

Bangalore, Jan 30 (UNI) Jockey Suraj Narredu, the rider of 'Super Speed' was fined Rs 5,000 for coming in and causing very severe interference to 'Secret Memory' (B Prakash up) in the Poonawalla Bangalore Derby (Grade-I) on 20th Day of Bangalore Winter Meeting here on January 26.

The Bangalore Turf Club Stewards also fined Rs 3000 Jockey Imran Chisty, the rider of 'Pleaser' in the Tiptur Plate on January 27 for not making sufficient effort on his mount, according to a BTC release here today.
