Jammu, Jan 30 (UNI) The non-teaching staff of the colleges in Jammu and Kashmir will observe a black-day on February 13.

These employees would participate in a march the following day to push on their demands.

According to a release, the association took this decision at a meeting held at Commerce College here.

The one-day session of the association discussed in detail the agreement reached between the union leaders and the higher education authorities on March 27, 2006, but regretted that some agreed demands were not implemented.

The association argued that after coming up with 22 new colleges in various parts of the State and introduction of PG courses in different colleges, the workload of non-teaching staff had increased.

The other main problems of the non-teaching staff included: delays in holding DPC, affecting promotion of staff and removal of anomalies.
