Eight injured during a clash in a procession

Samstipur, Jan 30 (UNI) Altogether Eight people were injured including an Inspector during a clash between two groups in a procession at Satanpura chowck under Ujiyarpur police station were as the police opened fire to disperse violent mob of procession here this evening.

Police said as the procession arrived at the chowck the two groups pelted stones and indulged in violant clash in which eight people including the Inspector sustained injuries. Leter the police opened fire to quell the mob.

Injured were rushed to the loclal hospital.

District Magistrate and Police Superintendent were camping at the spot.
