CM reviews implementation of health schemes
Jammu, Jan 30 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad reviewed at a high level meeting the working of health department here today.
Chief Minister advised the health department to gear up the health machinery throughout the state in order to provide timely medicare to the needy.
He was of the opinion the revolutionary steps are required to be taken so that the people living in cities, districts, far- flung and cut-off areas are able to get proper medical care. Rural health mission, Asha, RCH and other schemes were also discussed in the meeting.
Mr Azad advised the officers to work round the clock on various schemes which will be launched in the state keeping in view geographical location, topography and climate of the state.
He was assured the liberal funds are being released by the centre for establishing a rich network of health infrastructures.
The scheme also envisages recruitment of doctors and para-medical staff for implementation of the scheme so that proper medical facilities are available to the people at their door steps.
Minister for Health Mangat Ram Sharma, Secretary Health and Medical Education K B Jandial, Directors of Health Services Kashmir and Jammu Dr Muzaffar Ahmad and Dr Jasbir Singh and other senior officers were also present.
